120 thousand tourists visited the Chornobyl zone in 2019

This year, 120 thousand tourists have already visited the Chernobyl exclusion zone. 80% of toutists were foreigners. This is reported by Ukrinform, referring to the Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on the Exclusion Zone Management, Oleksandr Kovalchuk.

“The exclusion zone is one of the most recognizable tourism locations in the world. Chernobyl has shown itself to be a good image and economically profitable region of Ukraine. It should be noted that since the beginning of 2019, almost 120 thousand people have visited the exclusion zone. 80% of them are foreigners.” said Kovalchuk. He  also added that the agency is constantly developing infrastructure and developing new routes.
