St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv is one of the most instagrammable UNESCO objects

Creative resources expert Design Bundles recently analyzed how many times the 145 most popular UNESCO World Heritage sites have been tagged on Instagram, and gave them the appropriate rating. One of the most beautiful Ukrainian architectural and historical monuments, St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, is ranked among the ten most instagrammable UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The first place in the ranking was taken by the historic center of Rome in Italy; it was posted 61,244,436 times. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - 45,039,569 times. Venice and its lagoon in Italy received 25,755,922 posts, and St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv was posted 21,914,502 times. It was followed by the historic center of Florence in Italy, which received 21,516,815 posts. Also, the ranking included the historic center of Prague in the Czech Republic, Budapest in Hungary, Brasilia in Brazil, and Quito in Ecuador.

 

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) identifies cultural and natural heritage around the world which they consider to be “of outstanding value to humanity.” The World Heritage Sites are exceptional and diverse, from the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to East Africa’s Serengeti.
