What to see and do in Kyiv? Retrospective research project "Oleh Holosiy. Non-stop painting" will present the works of the painter Oleh Holosia, a landmark representative of the Ukrainian contemporary art, according to VechirniyKyiv.
Over 70 paintings, 50 graphic works, 40 photographs, archival materials from 20 museum and private collections of Ukraine, as well as from the estate of Oleh Holosiy will be shown at the exhibition. Most of these works are not well-known, and some will be exhibited for the first time. With the help of modern multimedia means, the exhibition will present the most interesting variants of previous exposition solutions shown at foreign exhibitions during the life of the author.
In the center of the special program for the exhibition is the figure of Oleh Holosiy, an outstanding artist, and the broad artistic, cultural, philosophical and literary context in which he was formed. In lectures, author's excursions and discussions, the artistic trends of the 19th-20th centuries (in particular, romanticism, expressionism, neo-baroque, transavanguardia) will be considered, and the literature that influenced the artist will be discussed. The children's and adolescent program will focus on visual art as a way of emotional expression and philosophical reflection.
