Frequently Asked Questions

What is medical tourism?

Medical tourism, also known as health tourism, involves journeying to foreign lands to procure medical treatment. This phenomenon has burgeoned globally, with Ukraine emerging as a notable destination for such endeavors. Individuals venture abroad for myriad reasons, primarily to mitigate the exorbitant costs of medical procedures prevalent in their native countries. In nations like the United States, the United Kingdom, and various European states, healthcare expenses can be prohibitively high. Consequently, the financial aspect becomes a pivotal consideration for those contemplating medical tourism. Additionally, some seek treatments unavailable in their homeland due to ethical prohibitions.

Why do you need to hire UA Destination as your medical tourism agent?

Actually, you don’t have to work with a medical tourism agency. And, of course, you can contact an overseas clinic directly, schedule your appointments, and book all arrangements on your own. However, if you work with us, we will take care of the most things you need. We have personally inspected some clinics, met the doctors, and established strong relationships with them.

Should I tell my doctor about going abroad for the purpose of medical care?

We recommend our clients to talk with their doctors. Many doctors know about medical tourism and can give some recommendations.

Is the medical care in Ukraine really cheap?

The costs of medical procedures in Ukraine are typically 50-80% lower than those in the United States and certain European countries. For instance, a procedure quoted at $10,000 in the US might cost between $2,000 and $5,000 in Ukraine. This significant disparity can be attributed to several factors, including reduced government levies, lower labor expenses, and diminished healthcare costs.
