Inspired by the success of the mini-series, Kyiv State City Administration together with the tour operators of Ukraine's capital developed and introduced a new tourist route "Locations of the shooting of the mini-series "Chernobyl" in Kyiv".
The mini-series has gained enormous popularity and caused a great interest among viewers around the world. Due to the interest in the mini-serial and the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in particular, the tourist boom is observed now. This series, as well as the tourist route, should attract more attention to the problems of the liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and those who suffered from this catastrophe. The tourist route includes the Kyiv city locations, shown in the mini-series: streets of Khreshchatyk and Bohdan Khmelnytsky, as well as the National Museum "Chernobyl" and Peoples' Friendship Arch.
