Lyubomyr Melnyk is a composer and pianist of Ukrainian descent who is a pioneer of Continuous Piano Music. Classically trained, he strongly influenced the movement of minimalism in the early 1970's. He developed his own unique piano tongue, named after the principle of maintaining a continuous, unsurpassed sound stream. In his seventy the pianist is the author of over 100 works, and his discography has more than 20 published albums.
