From October 5 to 9, Ukraine's capital will host the 3d Kyiv International Puppet Theater Festival “pUp.pet”, one of the largest in Europe and the largest among Ukrainian puppet theater festivals. This is reported by BigKiev. The festival will bring together participants from 18 countries of the world. Theatrical groups from Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Iran, Spain, Italy, China, Colombia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Sweden and Japan will come to Kyiv with their best performances.
Kyivans and guests of the capital will be able to watch more than 20 performances. The shows will be held on the stages of four theaters: the Kyiv Academic Puppet Theater, the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theater for Children and Youth, the Kyiv Municipal Academic Puppet Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnipro and the Kyiv Academic Theater for Young Spectators on Lypki. Free street puppet shows from theaters of Italy and Japan will also take place.
