Ukrainian Yaroslav Maguchyh recognized as the best young athlete in the world according to the International Association of Athletics Federations IAAF at the end of 2019. Athletes were awarded on November 23 in Monaco at the ІААF World Athletics Awards ceremony. This is reported on the World Athletics Twitter page.
The 18-year-old athlete, who performs in high jumps, won the European Youth Championship this year, and also made her debut at the World Championships in Doha, where she won silver with the world youth record.
Mykhailo Kokhan from Ukraine also claimed the title of best young athlete in the world. However, this award went to an athlete from Ethiopia, Selemon Barege.
