Project of Ukrainian DJ Vlad Fisun (DJBuro) “Chernobyl. Territory of Changes ”was included in the list of finalists of the“ Special Jury Prize ”nomination for the ABU Prizes Award 2019 competition, which this year was held in Tokyo. This is reported by BigKiev, referring to Bzh.
A 45-minute DJ stream was shot at the unfinished Cooling Tower facility, located near the fourth reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Vlad Fisun performed the thematic DJ set using records of such Ukrainian artists as ONUKA, Dakha Braha, Vagonovozhatye, Polygrim, Braii, as well as international projects - Kraftwerk, Coldcut, Leftfield, Death In Vegas. The campaign was dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and was broadcast in 40 countries. The goal was to show that the initially dangerous and abandoned area could become a place for combining art and modern technology, nature and modern sound.
